What? Revelations
When? Thursday afternoon, after Glee
Where? The Hummel-Anderson home
Ellie came home right after Glee in a relatively bad mood. Not an angry mood so much as a concerned one when Benny Puckerman hadn't showed up for Glee, which would've been bad enough if she didn't already have a lot on her mind. She'd gotten home from school and immediately changed into her favorite pajamas with Mushu from Mulan on them. For all the fashion sense coming at her from one of her dads, when it came to pajamas? She was her daddy's daughter through and through.
She was sitting cross-legged on her bed, laptop and a bunch of printouts spread out in front of her as she tried to focus on her project. It was a pretty intense project for her English class, a final exam grade, and a huge presentation, but she just couldn't get past one bit of information she'd found in her research, and her head was spinning a little with the knowledge she'd found.
As hard as she tried to focus, she was really struggling, a conversation she knew she needed to have kept coming to the forefront while actually working on her project was falling by the wayside. After about 45 minutes of seriously trying to force her personal connection to the whole thing aside until she finished, Ellie realized that was all in vain, and set aside her pen, picking up one very old article she'd printed from the New York Times archive at school. Reading over the headline for the millionth time, though she'd memorized it by now, she tucked the paper under her arm and padded barefoot down the hallway to her dad's studio. Knocking lightly, she called out in a soft voice, "Dad, it's me. Can I come in?"
